MCE showcased new catalyticFOAM results at the International Conference on Numerical Combustion (ICNC2025), held October 14–17, 2025, in Rome, Italy. In his talk, Prof. Mauro Bracconi presented the performance of the recently integrated Dynamic Load Balancing (DLB) approach, which automatically redistributes computational work across processors to accelerate reactive CFD. Designed for usability, DLB operates transparently within catalyticFOAM, complements existing decomposition strategies, and preserves result fidelity. Together, these advances help users fully leverage available compute resources for high-fidelity reactive CFD. Case studies on catalytic reactors demonstrated substantial simulation speedups and improved scalability, enabling users to fully exploit available compute resources.
